SET UP TEAM
Our set up team is only available at Momentum and week B.
A lot of work goes into transforming the showgrounds ready for a couple of weeks of Soul Survivor events – whist everyone else is thinking about which toothbrush to pack and whether to take their blue or green wellies, our set up team will already be on site setting up venues, fencing campsites and unloading lorries. With our set up time being short, we’re in real need of your help!
You’ll need to be there before everything starts and have a lot of energy to get the ball rolling, but before long you’ll be released to enjoy the majority of conference as a normal delegate. You will need to arrange your own accommodation but in return for your hard work you will get a free place at the whole event and meals from Day 0 to Day 2.
PACK DOWN TEAM
Our pack down team is only available at week A and week C.
When everyone else is thinking about going home, our pack down team is just beginning to get going – packing away the venues, loading lorries, shrink wrapping and cleaning are just a few of the many jobs around site that we’ll need your help with.
You’ll attend the first part of the event as a normal delegate, but from Day 4 onwards, you’ll definitely have the chance to get stuck in and earn your keep because pack down is quick and heavy work! However it’s also a unique, behind the scenes look at the conferences and you’ll see parts of it that most delegates aren’t aware of. If you’re interested in events, it’s great experience. You will need to arrange your own accommodation but in return for your hard work you will get a free place at the event and 3 meals a day from Day 4 until everything is packed away on Day 7.
To be on either of these teams, you’ll need physical strength, stamina, patience, enthusiasm and a means of getting to/from site at the right times. A pair of protective boots and some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty will also help!
How old do I have to be?
You will need to be 18 or over to join either of these teams.
When will I need to be on site?
For the set up team, you will need to arrive on site by 9am on Day 0 (the day before the event starts) and you’ll have finished your duties by the evening of Day 2 leaving you free to enjoy the rest of the conference.
Pack down team will be required from 9am on Day 4 until midday-ish on Day 7 (two days after the event finishes). Please collect your wristband from Info when you arrive at the event.
Ok I’m interested, but how do I apply?
You can apply online using our booking system. If you haven't done so already, you will need to register with the system (using the box in the top right of the screen) and then login. Book a place on the event of your choice and choose the option to book as a team member. It’s completely free to volunteer with us so you won't have to give any payment details.
