The SoulNet retreat is a weekend at Center Parcs for youth leaders from across the UK. We want to allow you to network with other youth leaders and be refreshed for your youth ministry!

Before
what is soulnet?
At Soul Survivor we have the privilege of running events for thousands of young people every summer. But we're aware that whilst we see them for five days, it's all you brilliant youth leaders who love and support them 365 days a year. So SoulNet is the bit of Soul Survivor that's all about supporting you, as you support them.
We do that through:

soulnet equipping days
We are really excited about our SoulNet Equipping Days! These are a series of one-day conferences, designed to help youth leaders with particular elements of working with young people. Each day will happen in the context of worship and ministry and will provide space for networking. Behind these days is SoulNet’s heart to see youth workers across the UK thinking, speaking and serving from a place of deep theology, deep practice and deep encounter with the Holy Spirit.
We’ve already hosted two sets of Equipping Days – the first looked at ‘Reaching a Lost Generation’ and the second was called ‘Beyond Bad Moods & Apathy’ which focussed on supporting young people coping with mental health issues such as depression.
Our third set of Equipping Days has the title ‘My whole youth group kissed a girl & they liked it…!’ and will be looking at the topic of sex & sexuality and the issues our young people are facing concerning this. We’ll be having a session focussing on the theology behind this issue, one looking at the practicalities of supporting young people dealing with this issue (including how to speak to your youth group about sex & sexuality) and then a ministry and worship session in the evening. We’d love you to join us!

Rachel is the founder of Romance Academy, a nation-wide sex and relationships education initiative addressing the underlying causes of risky youth behaviour such as, poor self-esteem, low aspirations and lack of positive family/community life by promoting the value of stable relationships.
Sean is a Tutor in Ethics at St Mellitus College in London and Associate Minister at St Francis Dalgarno Way, a church plant in an inner-city housing estate. He loves training and mentoring young leaders and is married to Gaby with three kids and one goldfish.

Each Equipping Day follows a pretty similar format – see below for a rough timetable of the day. Please note, food is not provided but there will be a list of places to get food locally, available for during the dinner break.

soulnet prayer breakfasts
We will be continuing to host prayer breakfasts all around the country for youth leaders to help develop youth leader communities and give them an opportunity to gather together to share experiences, support and pray with one another as they go about doing youth work.
