“We are passionate about moving forward to reach young people and others with the good news of Jesus and equipping the whole Church to move in the power of the Holy Spirit without being weird. With our new Naturally Supernatural event and moving two Soul Survivor events to Peterborough we really need our friends to stand with us, to support us financially and to pray with us. Can you join us? We really need the support of the whole Church to do what we believe God is calling us to do.”

Where the need is greatest

Giving like this allows us to use your money where we need it most which gives us flexibility and allows us to respond to any changing circumstances. This is ideal for us but we also understand that you might wish to give to a specific area so we’ve detailed some below.

Soul Survivor Scotland

We started Soul Survivor Scotland in 2014 after our friends at Imagine ceased their summer events. It was a huge step of faith for us especially as new events always need a few years before they are able to cover their costs. We’ve been hugely encouraged by both the growth in numbers at the event and the clear enthusiasm in Scotland for us to run Soul Survivor there but we still need to fundraise to cover all of our expenditure. Any gift you can give towards Soul Survivor Scotland would really help us as we establish this event.

Bursary Fund

We aim to keep ticket prices for our events as low as possible, however we are aware that for many young people the cost is still simply out of reach. In 2009, thanks to the generosity of some of our supporters, we set up a Bursary Fund to help assist young people attend Soul Survivor for the first time. Over the last six years we’ve been able to offer over 200 bursary places to young people who wouldn’t otherwise have been able to come.

One youth leader got in touch after some of her youth were given bursaries and said, “The young people who came to Soul Survivor are from very challenging home environments and Soul Survivor was the only time they get to leave their neighbourhoods and relax. They live in the midst of drug use and domestic violence where opportunities are minimal at best. Soul Survivor has been great for them as it has given them an opportunity to view life from a different perspective, to explore what they think about God, faith, and themselves.”

New Christian Packs

Every summer, we have the privilege of seeing young people come to know Jesus. Last year we welcomed over 1,500 new believers into God’s family in the main meetings alone! We give each of these new Christians a pack as a resource to help them in their first steps as a believer.

The New Christian packs include a copy of the New Testament and a ‘What Now?’ booklet that unpacks the commitment they’ve made and what it means to follow Jesus. Each year we need to raise money in order to produce more booklets and purchase copies of the New Testament and we’d love it if you would help us. The New Christian packs cost us £2 each, so for just £20 you could donate packs for 10 young people who meet Jesus this summer.

Statistics show that for every 100 people who don’t meet Jesus by the age of 18, only six will do so as adult*- highlighting how crucial it is to work with and engage young people. We also think it’s vital to equip the whole Church to live Spirit-led lives and to raise up young leaders who will love and serve the Church in years to come.
