The catering team are a vital part of the inner workings of our site. We literally couldn’t do our events without this team and the hard work, energy and enthusiasm they bring!
You’ll provide essential energy to everyone from our stewards to our IT technicians to our worship leaders. Without this, our tummies would be rumbling loudly so you’ll have our love and gratitude! You’ll be working in the background, seeing a whole new side to the events and meeting all of our teams and serving them while they serve our delegates. (There is no Catering team in Scotland).
You’ll be responsible for food preparation, serving meals and keeping the catering area clean and tidy so this is a role for the really servant-hearted, but it’s also a big team working in a great atmosphere. You’ll work with loads of amazing people and because everyone’s giving their all, there’s a great sense of community and you’ll get to know everyone even if you come to the event on your own.
You’ll need a bit of common sense when it comes to health and safety but you don’t need any previous catering experience, as long as you’re happy following instructions and learning as you go along. We promise you won’t be given jobs that are out of your depth (like serving 200 people a roast dinner on your own).
You should expect to work around 8 hours a day – there are different shifts to cover breakfast, lunch and dinner so you won’t have to do the same thing every day and will still get some time off to enjoy the main meetings and seminars. Breakfast shifts start at 6.45am but you won’t have to do this every day! The last shift finishes at 7pm so the whole team should get to go to the evening meeting.
You will need to provide your own tent, caravan or offsite accommodation but in return for your hard work we will provide you with an event pass and all your meals – obviously! (This includes breakfast of Day 1 through till dinner on Day 5)
