One of the things we’re passionate about at Soul Survivor is meeting with God. During the main meetings we will always try to let God lead what’s going on and make space for him to meet with us. Rather than having a ministry team we encourage our delegates to pray for one another and so have an enabling team on hand to check everyone is OK.
The enabling team will be split into sections throughout the main meeting venue to support the delegates as they pray. This may include guiding them on how best to pray for people (following our ministry guidelines), stepping in if someone is feeling a little out of their depth and dealing with any disclosures that may come to light during ministry (according to the our disclosure processes) and referring people onto the Chat Room or the Connect team if necessary. You will be serving during all of the morning and evening meetings (you’ll have a team meeting before each of them) and you may be required to attend some seminars during the week too. Expect to work about 8 hours each day. You will need to have experience of ministering in the power of the Spirit and be able to deal with sensitive situations.
You will need to provide your own tent, caravan or offsite accommodation but in return for your hard work we will provide you with an event pass and all your meals (dinner of Day 1 until dinner of Day 5) – what more could you want!?
EXTRA REQUIREMENTS
You’ll be required to apply for a DBS certificate before we can confirm your place on this team. Information will be sent to you when we process your initial application but if you already have a DBS with Soul Survivor that is less than three years old or you’re subscribed to the update service, then you won’t have to complete a new one – winner! Just drop us an email with the details and we can take it from there.
SOUL SURVIVOR PRAYER MINISTRY GUIDELINES
Have a read of our prayer ministry guidelines. We’re not saying that this is the only way to pray – it’s just a few top tips that we have found to be useful over the years.
