Skate is our skateboarding/roller blading/BMXing venue at weeks A, B and C. It’s packed full of half pipes, fun boxes and grind rails.
This venue is also home to the Sports Café and a massive sound system. So if you are a part of the skater scene, would like to be involved with the Skate team and you enjoy befriending, encouraging and sharing the gospel with young people, then this is the team for you.
The Skate team are on duty during the afternoons and evenings and you will work on a shift pattern, covering around 8 hours a day. You will spend your time chatting to delegates, making sure health and safety procedures are kept to and maybe even passing on some of your own skating tricks! You should have an interest in skating/blading and enough ability to be able to teach a beginner the very basics.
You will need to provide your own tent, caravan or offsite accommodation but in return for your hard work we will provide you with an event pass and all your meals (dinner of Day 1 until dinner of Day 5) – what more could you want!?
You’ll be required to apply for a DBS certificate before we can confirm your place on this team. Information will be sent to you when we process your initial application but if you already have a DBS/CRB with Soul Survivor that is less than three years old then you won’t have to complete a new one – winner! Just drop us an email with the certificate number and we can take it from there.
